RawmWare.OS
Day 14 / 365 Days of Showing Up ·
Live on TwitchCode, a 3D PS2 model and a music mix. Same night, same stream.
I'm Roman, the guy behind RawmWare. I'm not a programmer by title. I'm a creative who's good with a computer and likes making things on it. On Day 14 I went live on Twitch and did three things in one night: coded this page, built a 3D PS2 model and mixed music.
What happened on Day 14
I went live on Twitch and kept everything on screen. Three windows, one night:
- Coded this page. The RawmWare.OS ScriptLog windows above type out the log of the night.
- Built a 3D PS2 model. Same night, same stream.
- Mixed music in between.
No script and no edit. Just the work, in public, the way I want to make things every day this year.
Why I'm running ads
The goal isn't to sell ads. The goal is to use ads so people see my art.
A lot of advertising is a trick to get you to pay for something. Mine isn't. I'm paying for Instagram ads for one reason: so the people who'd actually care about this work get a chance to find it.
I have a good job, and I'm still a starving artist. Those aren't opposites.
Even when times are hard: never give up.
Doing it for myself
I was going to call businesses and offer to fix their marketing. A dentist office with 121 Instagram followers: where is your ad money going, and why isn't it working? That was the plan.
Then I flipped it. Everything I was going to do for other people, I'm doing for me: the ads, the search optimization, the daily posts and the live streams. If it's working, it's part of how you found this page.
Work with me
I'm not selling a course and I'm not a dev shop. I'm a creative who's good with the computer. If you're a clothing brand, a designer, a game maker or an artist and you need something made, I can help, even if my projects aren't your style.
